TERROR ZONE

ELECTRONIC PROOF OF CONCEPT 2018

Imagine the world of the 80’s. Shoulder pads, perms, leg warmers and headbands. Now imagine it all ended there. This is the Terror Zone. A heart-warming coming of age story soaked in blood and guts, over-the-top action and badass babes bashing the brains out of evil monsters.

Amy is an ass-kicking recluse who lines in the toxic wastelands of post-apocalyptic Sydney. In a past life she was the baddest and best weapon against the Murloks, deformed mutants who lurk the streets at night with an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Her hatred of all things mutant comes from her sadistic training and indoctrination by her mother, the ruthless Commander Shenker. However, Amy left her military “family” and their headquarters at Centrepoint Tower refusing to use her skills on their human enemies.

Now she is hunted by Schenker’s bounty killers during the day, and then haunted by traumatic memories in the night. Recurring flashes of scalpels and blood-stained operating tables hide a terrible truth, something Amy has long forgotten. But when she meets sassy teen Erica, a half-mutant fugitive from an underground colony, Amy is blasted with a wave of psychic energy. This bizzare event triggers a mutation and i slowly turning Amy into the thing she hates most: a Murlok. With the bounty killers closing in and Erica refusing to leave her side, Amy is finding unexpected clarity to her memories, leading to one terrifying truth about her family.

Can Amy confront her past or will she be consumed by it and
become the monster they all want her to be?
